home loansOriginally starting out with the State Bank of NSW, Brett began his career in his home town of Bega and then Merimbula on the South Coast of NSW. Whilst working for the bank he undertook studies in Insurance law and general principles taking a position 3 years later with the GRE Insurance group in Sydney, working from the Chatswood head office.
GRE offered a position as a field representative in the Riverina district where Brett took on the role operating from Leeton for a time - getting to know not only the locals but also the surrounding districts: Griffith, Hay, Colleambally and Narandera among the towns frequently visited. The coast was never far from his sights however and in those days he was probably the only person in Leeton with a windsurfer on the roof of his car.
From there Brett took on the major task of establishing a branch of his fathers Insurance broking business in Batemans Bay. A position he relished in, creating a broking office that has spanned a term of 18 years servicing clients not only in the Eurobodalla region but also major clients in other regions as well such as Canberra, Sydney and Queensland.
Today after 20 years in the insurance sector Brett has taken a major turn in his career drawing strength on the characteristics that have shaped that career for so long and moved whole heartedly back into the world of finance. Through his friendships with the people behind Pinnacle Financial services Australia, an opportunity existed for the establishment of a boutique funding facility along the South Coast. With their support and guidance the establishment of Summit became a reality late last year and it is now full steam ahead for a business that is obviously needed here on the coast.
